Ball valves come in a variety of different types for different applications. There are ones that are typically used for water installations and others that are more suitable for gas installations. Some can even be used for both.
Both water and gas ball valves work in the same way to control the flow of gas or water depending on the application. Many gas approved ball valves typically have a yellow handle to differentiate them from water ball valves but this is not always the case.
We also stock a range of ball valves that can be purchased for either a water or gas application as these products are both AGA and Watermark certified and are compliant to AS3500.
If you need to purchase a ball valve specifically for a gas installation, just check to make sure that the valve you’re looking at is AGA certified.
